Who's Your Minister

Most founders engaging government for the first time can name the Prime Minister and maybe the Treasurer. The decisions that actually move are taken by the dozen ministers, shadow ministers, and local MPs your sector falls under. This tool surfaces those people for you in under a minute, ranked by accessibility and ready to contact.

Your stakeholder dossier will be sent here. We won't email you otherwise.

Why this exists

The first hour of any new government relations engagement is spent asking "who do we actually need to talk to here". For deep-tech and dual-use startups the answer rarely follows the obvious portfolio lines: a defence platform also touches industry, science, foreign affairs, treasury, and a couple of state portfolios you didn't expect. Founders should be able to see the map before they walk in.

How it works

A verified list of every current federal and state minister and shadow minister, refreshed in May 2026, sits behind the tool. The model is constrained to that list (no inventing people who don't exist) and uses live web search only to find your local MP, verify contact details, and confirm which department each minister actually sits in. Every named person comes with a parliamentary profile link.

Limitations

AI-generated political summaries are starting points for your own thinking, not verdicts. Cabinet reshuffles happen; verify against the official source before you act on anything load-bearing. Local-MP identification depends on web search and is occasionally wrong for tiny localities, double-check the electorate name if anything looks off. Rate-limited per IP per day.

Want more

If you want a stakeholder map built around a specific bill, a procurement opportunity, or a state-by-state campaign, this tool is the starting point not the finishing line. Bespoke versions and full Government Relations support are available.
